[bbe]Now in Jerusalem near the sheep-market there is a public bath which in Hebrew is named Beth-zatha. It has five doorways.
[kjv]Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.
5:3

[bbe]In these doorways there were a great number of people with different diseases: some unable to see, some without the power of walking, some with wasted bodies{, waiting for the moving of the water.
[kjv]In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.
5:4
[cuvs]因为有天使按时下池搅动那水，水动之后，谁先下去，无论什么病，就痊愈了）。

[bbe]For an angel went down at a certain time into the bath, and moved the water: the first one who went into the water after it was moved was made well of whatever disease he had}.

5:5

[bbe]Now he who had been made well had no knowledge who it was, Jesus having gone away because of the number of people who were in that place.

[kjv]Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
5:20
